Community Feedback Opportunities

Parks Chat

In her first year in office, Mayor Terry has created numerous opportunities for community feedback, helping to ensure that Evansville residents are seen and heard.

The Travelling City Halls are quarterly events, during which Mayor Terry and other city officials are able to speak directly to residents. These residents are able to share their concerns and have meaningful conversations with the people who can make the changes they want to
see happen.

Travelling City Halls are held quarterly, with each at a different location in a different part of the city. The four 2024 events have taken place at the C.K.
Newsome Center, the University of Evansville, Howell Shelter, and St. John's East.

Dates and locations for the 2025 Traveling City Hall meetings will be announced in January.

Other departments are also taking initiatives to engage with the community on topics within their expertise. The Department of Parks and Recreation has created Parks Chats to discuss park-related issues in each ward of the city. Officials from Parks and Recreation, alongside City Council members representing the hosting ward, listen to concerns about city parks and provide the community with plans for how city parks will be improved and maintained.

Recently, the Evansville Water and Sewer Utility Department launched similar event, holding its first Community Conversation in November 2024. All residents were
encouraged to attend this event to learn more information and ask questions.

And on January 15, 2025, Mayor Terry will host the city's first Animal Control Town Hall at 5:30 p.m. at the CK Newsome Center.
