In 2024, the City of Evansville entered into a contract with Crowe LLP to create a strategic plan for city government.

This strategic plan, created through engagement with residents and leaders across the community, will ensure that Evansville’s city government is strong and runs efficiently. The final plan will be a guide that city officials can use to make decisions for the future of Evansville.

In creating the plan, Crowe began by performing an organizational assessment, which allowed them to see how Evansville city government runs now, and what adjustments can be made to this routine. A large part of the plan is diving deeper into how various departments run so that effective practices are strengthened and areas for improvement are recognized.

The City of Evansville’s driving force is to maintain accessible services for all residents. The final strategicplan will be a vision for where the city is heading and how to get there.
