The Evansville Land Bank Corp. owns numerous vacant lots within the city, the vast majority are located between Highway 41 and Pigeon Creek.  Interested parties may submit an application to purchase a vacant lot by submitting the application from this website.  Applications are then considered by the board of directors at their monthly meeting, after which applicants will be contacted to relay the board's decision.  Many properties are banked for future projects including new home construction.    

Preference for sale of narrow lots is given to adjacent property owners.  And sale of all unimproved lots are subject to execution of a sale agreement by the purchaser.

The Evansville Land Bank Corp. typically owns a limited number of houses available for rehabilitation.  When this occurs, those properties are listed with a local realtor for sale and included on the Evansville MLS.  A purchase agreement must be submitted through the listing agent.  A development agreement will be required which outlines the timeframe for the rehabilitation of the structure, project details and the requirement to upgrade the property to local building code.
