Private Surveys

The Vanderburgh County Surveyor's Office does not and will not conduct property surveys on behalf of county residents. The County Surveyor is responsible for locating, surveying, referencing, and validating existing section corners which are used by private surveyors to complete a private survey.

If a resident were to have a private survey conducted, a private surveyor would need to be hired. The Vanderburgh County Surveyor's Office will not recommend any private surveyor, but the office is happy to provide any resident a list of practicing licensed surveyors that work in the area.
