What is the Ordinance Violation Bureau?

The Ordinance Violations Bureau processes citations issued for violations of the Municipal Code, collects fines, ensures City representation and proper witnesses for court proceedings, and prepares court documents for filing all small claims for the City.

Mail a check or money order to the City Clerk’s Office, Room 314 of the Civic Center Complex located at 1 NW Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Evansville, IN 47708.  Please do not mail cash.

Drop Box.  Deposit your cash, check or money order in the drop box located in front of the Civic Center Complex at 1 NW Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Evansville, IN 47708.

 

What happens if I do not pay my citation(s)?

If your citation remains unpaid it will be liable to be processed in court and court costs and interest will be added to the original amount of the citation.
