Stray animals are held for a minimum of 7 days. If they are not re-claimed by their owner they can be adopted.

Evansville Animal Care & Control requires that all animals adopted from the shelter be spayed or neutered.

• Dogs $120
  • Includes adoption fee, spay/neuter voucher, lifetime city license, microchip, vaccines, and rabies voucher
• Cats $100
  
  • Includes adoption fee, spay/neuter voucher, lifetime city license, microchip and rabies voucher

COUNTY

• Dogs $110
  • Includes adoption fee, spay/neuter voucher, microchip, vaccines, and rabies voucher
• Cats $90
  • Includes adoption fee, spay/neuter voucher, lifetime city license, microchip and rabies voucher

*Animals already spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, or that have a current rabies vaccine at the time of intake can be adopted at a discounted rate.

PRE-ADOPTION

If an animal that you are interested in adopting is not available yet, you may choose to pre-adopt. After paperwork is completed you must leave a payment for all adoption fees in full. Payments are accepted in the form of cash and check only. We will make a copy of your ID. The animal will be available to you if it is not re-claimed by the owner during the allotted time.
