One of Mayor Terry’s priorities is ensuring that Evansville is a city that works for you. 

Every city department has a job to provide vital services to every Evansville resident. This may be making sure that trash is picked up on time, or ensuring that outages are addressed in a timely manner. All of those services must be accessible to everyone in the community; day-to-day operations must be performed well, and each department must work together so that the government as a whole is high-functioning.

One way that Mayor Terry’s administration is working towards this is by creating a city strategic plan. This plan is currently in the works and, when unveiled, will be a guide showing how city government can work efficiently when providing services.

In addition to this plan, Mayor Terry also plans to modernize the way that the city communicates with its residents. A new City of Evansville app is in the works. This app will make it easier for the city to contact residents and for residents to contact the city. Through this app residents can report hazards, reach out to law enforcement, or book a picnic table with a simple tap. This app will increase the efficiency of city government by reducing lengthy phone calls or forms.
