Young people are the future of Evansville; it is important to invest in fostering a strong, vibrant community forthem.
Mayor Terry is focused on creating a city that promotes equity and paves the way for youth to be successful. Through collaboration with nonprofits, schools, and other entities, more youth programs can be created to serve young people. We must make it a priority to give children the opportunity to grow and flourish in
Evansville.
The Education Roundtable and the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council are just two ways that Mayor Terry is prioritizing young people. Through the Education Roundtable, Mayor Terry hears directly from educators and stakeholders in youth development; through the Mayor's Youth Advisory Council, she works directly with Evansville's youth to better understand the issues that concern them most. Hearing these stories and concerns allows city leaders to make decisions that will best serve young people in Evansville.
