Fixed Route - Transit Bus

Base Fare

  • $0.75 per ride on regular routes METS
  • Children age 5 and under ride FREE when accompanied by a paying adult
    • Limit of 3 free children per adult

Student Fare

  • $0.50 per ride - may pay cash on bus or purchase ticket
  • All K-12 students attending school in the METS service area
  • Any student attending a state-accredited college (with proper ID)
  • Student tickets are non-transferable
  • Must be used by students only
  • Student tickets available

Monthly Bus Pass

  • Regular Monthly Bus Pass - $60
  • Student Monthly Bus Pass (w/proper credentials) - $45
  • Elderly & Handicapped Monthly Bus Pass (w/proper credentials) - $30
  • Unlimited monthly pass
  • Would run the 1st through the 31st of every month.

Non-Profit Tokens

  • $0.65 each
  • Minimum of twenty (20) tokens per purchase
  • Proof of Non-Profit status required
  • Non-Profit tokens available

Individual Tokens

  • $0.75 per token
  • Individual tokens available

Senior Citizens, Disabled, and Medicare Card Holders

  • $0.35 reduced fare
  • One (1) of the three (3) forms of identification listed below is required to receive ID necessary for this fare.
    1. Current State Issued Photo ID showing proof of age being over 65
    2. Medicare card (Paper RED,WHITE, BLUE not plastic) & Current State Issued Photo ID
    3. Statement from Social Security that you are receiving Disability Payments & Current State Issued Photo ID.  Statement must be on Social Security letterhead and dated within the last year.  (The tri-fold letter that is sent out showing the new dollar amount that you will be receiving does not provide the qualifying information that is needed.)

T.R.I.P. Program

  • Senior citizens age 60+ are also eligible for T.R.I.P. program tickets, which are good for any time of day.

METS Mobility Service

  • Door-to-door service for eligible passengers
  • Available during the same hours as fixed route services
  • Application must be filled out and approved prior to calling for this service
