City Pools

2024 Pool season is over, but 2025 planning is
already in the works!

If you are interested in helping with swim lessons
or swim team for the 2025 season,
reach out to Hannah Bedwell at hbedwell@evansville.in.gov

Parks and Recreation oversees the operation and maintenance of the 3 city swimming pools:

 Sign Up for Swim Team!
Rochelle-Landers, Red Mosby(Howell),  Lorraine, Helfrich, and Lloyd* are our swim teams.
There are 3 meets leading up to the City Swim Meet,
hosted at the Deaconess Aquatic Center on July 13th and 14th.

If you are needing financial assistance with your swim team, please register at the pools.

Swim Lessons
Swim lessons are provided for children at all three city pools:
Red "Mosby" Pool, Lorraine Pool, and Rochelle-Landers Pool.
Registrations will be accepted at these pools beginning opening day of pool season and will continue until capacity is reached or the first day of each session, whichever comes first. Children must be registered and their fee paid prior to the first day of each session.
Classes fill on a first come, first serve basis. The instructors will test all swimmers and place them in the classes according to their present ability, not their past swimming record.

Session 1:

Session 2:

Our goal is to continue offering free swim lessons at Lorraine Pool in 2025, and potentially expand that to other pools as well. These lessons are also registered on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, these lessons are reserved for families that cannot afford to take lessons at one of our other pools.
