Community Development
Community Development is a function of the Management and Community Development staff.
The staff oversees the administration, monitoring, financial management, and citizen participation aspects of the following federal programs:
- Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program
- Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)
- HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) programs
- Other grant programs
The Management and Community Development staff also participate in:
- Number of community networks and programs
- Neighborhood Association meetings
- Re-entry Committee
- Affordable Housing Fund Advisory Committee
- Citizen Advisory Committee
- Commission on Homelessness
- Attending/conducting on-going training and technical assistance
- Staying informed and educated on regional, state and federal level initiatives and development strategies to bring viable new Community Development programs to Evansville
