Lifeguard Training Classes!
(EVANSVILLE, IN)- The Department of Parks and Recreation is offering a Lifeguarding certification class at Lloyd Pool, 6101 N. First Avenue. Lifeguarding is a rewarding summer job for all ages. If you like the out doors, are athletic and want to have the opportunity to work next summer, sign up for classes The class schedule is as follows:
Monday, October 4 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Monday, October 11 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Monday, October 18 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Saturday, October 23 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
Sunday, October 24 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Monday, November 1 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
In order to become a lifeguard, you must be certified. The cost for the class is $145.00. For additional information and to register, call Lloyd Pool at (812) 435-6085, by Monday, September 20, 2010.
Neighborhood Pools will be open from June 5, 2010 through August 1, 2010. Bathhouse facilities include changing rooms, restrooms, offices and a first aid room. Neighborhood Pools encourage children to learn swim strokes and participate in swim team activities. Daily swim hours allow children to exercise and have a cool place to beat the summer heat.

Swim Lessons are available at each neighborhood pool.
