VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

JOB NO.: PT-10-125	CLOSING DATE: Open Until Filled
POSITION: Van Operator	RATE: $10.84 per hour
DEPARTMENT: Mets	PART TIME(1st or 2nd shift)

DUTIES:

Operate fixed route connection vans. Collect fares and complete necessary financial reports. Conduct daily pre-trip inspections. Assist passengers in paying fares, give information and sell transfers. Advise relief driver or mechanics of any unusual situations. Complete daily time slip. Train new employees as necessary. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent.  Must possess a Public Passenger Chauffeurs license with proper endorsements. Clear driving record for the past two (2) years. Adequate verbal and written communication skills and mathematical skills. Familiar with city streets and addresses. Sufficient manual dexterity necessary to steer and operate standard bus controls and physical strength to property assist wheelchairs and disabled individuals.
